Guest guest
I've posted a few times about my 3yo who we just weaned from glycolax (yea!). My younger son (10.5 months old but 8 months adjusted, he was born 10 weeks early) is/has been a constipated infant like his older brother. At this point he's still almost exclusively breastfed, just starting a few bites of solids a day. Looking back over the past month he's had a pattern of not going for quite some time (7-12 days and requiring a suppository) then typically, though not always, going every other day for 2-3xs. I'm doing epsom salt baths with him almost every other day but that's the only intervention I've tried for him. Oh, and I gave him about 1 tsp. prune/raisin/date puree last night but still needed to do a suppository today. I'd really like to avoid a repeat of my older son's experience, gradually increasing constipation until we ended up in the ER and on miralax. Any suggestions for my little guy?
