Hi, The only SSRI that my 12 yo. son has success with was Zoloft.

However, the last 6-9 months it has seemed to have lost its

effectiveness! He is is at the max. dose of 200mg a day. So to say

his OCD is a bit drug resistant is an understatement. We have been on

them all! As for the behavorial problems we use Risperdal. It works

fairly rapidly, however there are side effects, the one that has

caused my son the greatest problem is weight gain. He has gained over

50lbs in the last 2 years. It does a great job with behavioral

problems, and I keep on trying to wean him off and the anger rears

its ugly head! You don't say what behavioral problems your daughter

has and the degree of her " rages " . With my son, it starts

with " You're talking too softly " and then escalaltes from hitting the

walls and saying I am so mean, etc., totally reality challenged. I

need to call his Psych MD and see if we can try something else for

the OCD ASAP.
