post-surgical compensation

I just finished reading all of my reports for the 5th or 6th time and

it makes me so mad. I underwent decompression surgery last year with

little knowledge of what Chiari even was. The Neurosurgeon who

performed the surgery said he has done at least 200 decompressions and

said he was very familiar with chiari. To date I have never had any

testing done for a syrinx, or any other condition that sometimes goes

along with Chiari. I had severe leaking of my incision site and had to

have a lumbar drain put in. I have new symptoms and now he says he only

deals with the surgery. If I have problems than I will need to see a

pain specialist. Has anyone ever filed a suit against their doctor for

not giving them the whole truth? I don't want to sound like a mean

person but I would hate for anyone else to have to go through what I

did with this so called chiari specialist. I don't know what to do.
