BASIS – Behavior Assessment, Support and Intervention Services - the Outreach

Division of Spectrum of Hope, has relocated to Northwest Houston. The certified

and professional staff of BASIS have over 10 years of experience using behavior

analytic techniques for the treatment of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

and other Behavioral, Language and Developmental disorders. BASIS provides the

following services:

Behavior Assessment and Treatment Services

Problem behavior in the form of aggression, self-injury, property destruction,

disruption, and stereotypy can be difficult to manage and can put a lot of

stress on a family or a classroom. BASIS offers in-house and on-site Functional

Behavior Assessments conducted by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to help

determine the reason for a child's problem behavior, in addition to developing a

Behavior Intervention Plan to reduce the problem behavior. Aside from the

assessment of the problem behavior and the development of a corresponding

treatment package, BASIS offers a program that provides hands-on training for

caregivers on how to respond to problem behavior and how to increase other

appropriate behaviors.

In Home Therapy and Consultation

BASIS provides in home treatment/therapy and consultation services for younger

children and their families. Our program is designed to not only provide quality

behavior treatment by experienced and trained professionals, but to also supply

the training to parents and caregivers necessary for continued skill

acquisition or behavior reduction programs in the home. Our certified

professionals create In-Home Programs on an individualized basis to meet the

needs of your child, complete with assessment, program development,

consultation, and parent training. In-Home Programs can be put in place for

on-going ABA therapy, or can be used to teach/reduce a particular behavior over

a short period of time (i.e. potty-training or problem behavior).

Other Services Provided by BASIS include Skill Assessments/IEP Planning/ARD

Meetings, School District Services, and Workshops and Presentations.
