Guest guest
I'm curious what dose of Valtrex you are giving and how you are giving it. Yes, I have seen children become more defiant at times as they develop, but that could also be part of regression. It's hard to tell as an individual symptom. Are you on an antifungal? If not, I would try one asap. - Stan > > Hi all, > > We are now on Day 54 of Valtrex and I can't say we are seeing any real > gains. Guest guest
Hi Stan, Thanks for the reply. We started off the Valtrex with 500 mg, 2x/day. Then, out of desperation, we cut it back about 8 days ago to 250 mg in a.m. and 500 mg in p.m. That's where she is now. I, too, have been wondering about an anti-fungal, but shouldn't SCD have starved her yeast by now? I had heard that all the nuts used on SCD can aggravate yeast issues. We see her doctor on Friday and I will ask about an anti-fungal then. I would vote for something strong, like Diflucan. Any other recommendations?
