I didn't brew this. I find these biolfims (that look kinda like SCOBYs) in discarded sugar drink mixes from a food factory. They grow in 250-gallon tanks of liquids that have high contents of chocolate and coffee. I'm hoping it's something nutritious (not toxic). I'm hopeful because the smell is not putrid at all (although nothing like the smell of kombucha).
