Guest guest
Not proprietary. It's in a lot of other brands of yogart. One example is stoneyfields (organic) yogart. Very good tasting yogart with less junk and fat than activia and less expensive too. By the way, I found this product while doing a search on lactobacillus rhamnosus...was reading that it can help with GI tract motility. In a study of elderly patients it, along with another strain of good bacteria for the gut, increased stools by 24% or something like that! I'll have to post that journal article later. Anyway, I know about the Activia yogurt, and wondered if l.rhamnosus was a strain they were using, and I can't find that out just yet. They call it a trademark bifidus regularis, which could mean that they use a proprietary (i.e. trade secret) blend of bacteria. One of them could be the l. rhamnosus, or it might not be... but anyway, it brought me to this interesting link below, which mentions a lot of products that can be beneficial to the digestive system/colon... http://members.ift.org/NR/rdonlyres/15950A80-F422-43BA-AFA6- 689026FD48C7/0/0706nutra.pdf The last page mentions the benefits of the Hi-Maize fiber.
