Reading some of the back posts about taking DMSO orally for ulcer treatment,

it made me curious if DMSO has any therapeutic role in various gallbladder

disorders, whether it is a simple inflammation, cholecystitis, or any effect

on stones or sludge?

Does it have any known benefit in other disorders of the GI tract, like

irritable bowel, Crohn's disease, or diverticulitis? My thoughts are that

it might, or should, even, have some role with these inflammatory

processes.... and perhaps even a more generalized inflammatory response such

as in autoimmune disorders like thyroiditis or lupus?

I know someone that uses it to control her Lupus and is off

intrarticular cortisone injections since starting DMSO topical. She uses

it several days in a row once a month or if she has a flare up. Her

doctor even prescribed pharmaceutical grade and her insurance pay for 8

oz of Rimso-50 a month.

It is beneficial for IBS as reported in DMSO Nature's Healer by Morton

.

Should help with any inflammation but if the cause is not removed well,

it can only help so much. For kidney and gallbladder stones a cleanse is

the long term solution in my way of thinking, but I don't have any

personal experience here and can't think of any reports from others.
