Guest guest
The information is what it is. As I've stated before you do what you think is best for your child. You cannot count on the FDA. If you recall the FDA approved many stents, pacemakers, mental health drugs, breast implants, etc which caused hundreds of deaths in some cases. The mental health drugs caused a lot of teen suicides and are now off the market. The eye drops most recently were recalled due to causing eye fungus. And we all know that the FDA does not do testing for all drugs that are perscribed for children. In fact the FDA does not regulate herbs or any other dietary " natural " supplements. It's extremely difficult to get these private companies to shut down. Look at the herbal supplement that they put in diet drugs that killed so many people? And how many times do we hear in the news that these companies have been shut down due to false products or bad products. A lot you are not guaranteed anything. These oils can cause bleeding or other serious problems in some people. For others it's a miracle supplement. If a child has a nose bleed the parent will stop giving the child fish oil or flax seed. How many do you think will report this to their doctor? It's highly unlikely until they become educated and/or more research is posted, then the parents start reporting. Otherwise it goes unreported. And how many parents will perform an autopsy on their child with ADHD, epilipsy, or even autism if they died. As I've stated before. If you want to give. More power to you. A few parents wanted information, I gave now it's up to them to consult with their own doctors and to do their own research. This should not have become a heated debate nor should I have received insulting emails. You do as you see fit as a parent. As I've stated before it's up to YOU as a parent to do your own research and to make up your own mind. It's not on me. Have a good day! > > >> >> Sorry, this just seems silly. As far as mercury and contaminants > you >> have to get the highest quality oils that are tested for pcb, > mercury >> etc. Sometimes fish oils are the only way to get contaminant-free >> Omega's because they can be tested whereas most fish is not. >> >> Don't you think that if average kids were dying of internal > bleeding >> from fish oils there'd me more restrictions on it? The FDA is on > that >> like a fly on ****. >> >> I guess it is up to the user to determine how much of a risk it > is >> when so many people use these supplements and have great results.
