Guest guest
Hi. The following is a DMSO related article from: Dr. Jay Rowen's SECOND OPINION February 2004 Vol. IX, No. 2 Miracle of Medicine Simple Do-It-Yourself Cataract Cure When I talk to patients about cataracts, it's almost always because they already have one (or two) and they're trying to avoid surgery. I rarely see anyone who wants to talk about prevention. If you don't have cataracts, the best thing you can do to prevent them is to eat a diet high in protein, vitamin A, niacin, thiamin, and riboflavin. These nutrients are associated with reduced prevalence of nuclear cataracts (a cataract on the inner part of the lens). Not all types of cataracts are affected by diet, but researchers have discovered the nucleus is particularly sensitive to nutrient deficiencies. For preventing other types of cataracts and reversing even the worst cases, there's an easy treatment you can use at home that works miracles. Years ago, I came across an idea for the use of DMSO eye drops for cataracts. DMSO, as you know, is a natural solvent, but it has significant properties as an antioxidant. I tried it in several patients and it worked! People called me in Alaska from thousands of miles away after hearing me talk about it on a national radio show to let me know of their success. I decided to improve upon straight DMSO. Knowing that glutathione concentration in the lens is essential for cataract prevention, I thought I'd try adding some to the DMSO. Researchers discovered in the early 1900s that eyes deficient in glutathione were more susceptible to cataracts and other eye diseases. I also knew that the sclera of the eye is dependent on vitamin C for good health, and cataracts may begin when vitamin C becomes deficient. So I decided to add vitamin C and glutathione to the formula. I expected the DMSO to carry the nutrients to the lens where they could do their work. And it does seem to work better than the DMSO alone. Olga Kolbeck, a vivacious 89-year-old woman for Calistoga, California could not see well in her right eye. A cataract was forming, and she had some deterioration in her left. Olga lives alone with three sheep, two llamas, and 18 " fainting " goats! She is indeed a busy woman. Olga began the eye formulation in the spring of 2003. On November 14, she reported she could now read again with her right eye, passed the driver's test, and the left eye returned to perfect vision. If you have cataracts, you might want to ask your doctor to have this formulation as well. Your local compounding pharmacist of Dollar Drug of Santa (), the pharmacy Olga used, can provide it. The formulation is: DMSO – 6.25 percent Vitamin C – 1.25 percent Glutathione – 1.25 percent I'm using it myself just for prevention. It stings momentarily and quickly passes. Your eyes will love you for it.
