If she has coordination issues, that part of her life may need some specialized training which a nurse is equipped to do. Using a para would mean she'd have to be specially trained...more money the school would have to spend. Not that it's about money, but if you're sensitive to that and verbalize it, the school may be more inclined to accommodate you faster/easier. Let us know how it goes! _____ From: miralax [mailto:miralax ] On Behalf Of jhud2 Sent: Thursday, September 20, 2007 9:18 PM To: miralax Subject: Re: constipation at school Thanks for the good advice. I tend to not bring it up, but it's a real problem for her behaviorally if she's not able to go. I'm also concerned about her period which could start anyday now. I think the school nurse is a good idea. They are supposed to be trained in these issues. I appreciate your help very much........... Kathy Need help for my toddler... Date: Thu, 20 Sep 2007 16:22:08 -0000 Hi All, I am a new member of the group and I would like to introduce myself. I have 19 month old boy who has chronic constipation and silent GERD. He is currently on Prevacid 30 mg and Miralax 14 gms. He has been taking Miralax for the past 3 1/2 months. It seemed to work initially but not anymore and he is showing more " Autism " symptoms. I see all the posts about miralax and the side effects. I want to stop giving Miralax but need to help from other parents 1. What else should I give me to help his constipation? We recently started vitamin c supplement and probiotic acidophillyus. 2. I read some posts on mineral imbalnce/deficiency like magnesium/calcium, zinc/copper etc. Whats the best way to get him tested for this? Could it be milk or dairy allergy causing constipation and how do I test that. 3. How do I " tell " my doctor (feeding specialist) we dont to give him miralax any more? Any articles or material that I could print when I talk to her. Thanks, Uma _____________________________________________________________ Netscape. Just the Net You Need.
