white dots on top of my tea

Can anyone help me. I have made a batch of Kombucha from a culture my

sister gave me & it now has white dots on top after 6 days. Is this

the new mushroom? Or did it go bad?

Hi Skye and EveryOne,

Please check out the photos of Kombucha in the PHOTO section of the

list homepage.

If the white dots are the beginning of a Kombucha Colony it is fine,

if they are fuzzy like mold, then you will need to toss everything,

clean well and start again.

You should be able to tell in a few days what is going on.
