Guest guest
I would highly recommend getting a Dexa Bone Scan. Osteoporosis can occur for many reasons from problems with our hormones to receiving steroids for some other condition. The sooner it is caught and treated the better. I knew I had low bone density from a scan in 2005, but when Dr. B told me I needed fusion, I thought I should have it rechecked. Turns out the bones in my hips got better, but the bones in my lumbar spine got worse and I have Osteoporosis there. Problem is that I can't have the fusion surgery until the bone density improves and my Osteo doc releases me for surgery. Hope you check it out!
