How hard is it to get a school to remove an autism diagnosis?

Let's say that when a child is 4 they receive an autism diagnosis from the

school district and are eligible for PPCD and Speech. What if, say around 1st or

2nd grade they recover and appear to be completely typical and can function in a

regular classroom without any assistance. How can you get a school to remove the

autism label? I have been told that it's next to impossible.
