Guest guest
My son's doctor had tested him for food allergies a while back, and said my son was highly allergic to peanuts. Well, my son can literally eat peanuts out of the jar (and has, many times) with NO problem. When I told the allergist this, she said sometimes the tests can be wrong and to go ahead and let my son have peanuts. I just now looked at the list of the other things the doctor had tested him for (he had told me verbally that wasn't allergic to any of the other things, so I didn't bother to look). He actually DOES have some other allergies, that I'm guessing the doctor didn't mention because they say LOW allergy. But that's still an allergy, I would think! The things are, ironically, cow's milk and wheat. The 2 things they say autistic kids shouldn't have. Hmmmm. Maybe the GFCF diet IS worth a try after all?
