Guest guest
I've been reading the recent posts about caveman diet. We have been gfcf for 2.5 years. still battling yeast. I googled caveman diet and got some info, but still have questions. Are the following foods allowed: apple juice, wattered-down orange juice, mango juice, passion fruit? What about berries, and carrots? Also, How do you get true green veggies into your kids. The only veggies mine will eat are potatoes, corn, and peas. (I know those are out). He loves popcorn cooked in V. coconut oil (Guess that's out too) We do lots of peanut butter. Do we need to switch to almond butter? The hardest thing for us to give up will be Rice!!!! Rice milk, rice crackers, my homemade bread. He seems to crave carbs with dinner. Do you give any sweets with alternative sweetners like xylitol, or stevia? I found this website with recipes, but I'm not sure they are all " legal " http://paleofood.com Thanks in advance. Amy
Guest guest
I Googled it as well and realized there are a couple of people who used the term Caveman Diet. Sorry about that. The only information that I have published is on this page. www.childrenscornerschool.com/diet.htm Anything else is someone elses diet. Now on to your questions. I'll answer in CAPS > Are the following foods allowed: apple juice, wattered-down orange juice, mango > juice, passion fruit? What about berries, and carrots? PEELED APPLE ONLY, NO ORANGE JUICE, NO MANGO (NOT IN THE BEGINNING), NO PASSION FRUIT, NO BERRIES, CARROTS. > Also, How do you get true green veggies into your kids. The only veggies mine will > eat are potatoes, corn, and peas. (I know those are out). NO POTATOES, NO CORN, YES TO PEAS! HOW DID I GET THEM IN TO BEGIN WITH? I PROCESSED THEM INTO MEAT AND PUT ORGANIC CATSUP ON IT. > He loves popcorn cooked in V. coconut oil (Guess that's out too) THAT OUT. > We do lots of peanut butter. Do we need to switch to almond butter? 100% ALMOND IS FINE IF YOU HAVE DONE AN IGG FOOD ALLERGY TEST BY BLOOD (GREAT PLAINS, GREAT SMOKIES, DOCTORS DATA, ETC). MY SON WAS REACTIVE TO ALMONDS. WE MOVED TO WALNUT. YES, YOU CAN ADD SOME NUTS IF YOU DO AN IGG FOOD ALLERGY TEST FIRST (THE TESTS I MENTIONED ABOVE) > The hardest thing for us to give up will be Rice!!!! Rice milk, rice crackers, my > homemade bread. He seems to crave carbs with dinner. SURE HE CRAVES IT. HE'S ADDICTED TO THE SUGAR AND THE ALCOHOL THAT IF FERMENTED IN HIS GUT FROM THE RICE AND THE CARBS. OF COURSE HE'LL CRAVE IT. THAT'S THE REASON TO CUT IT OUT. JUST GIVE IT ONE WEEK AND YOU'LL SEE A CHANGE. > Do you give any sweets with alternative sweetners like xylitol, or stevia? I DO USE SWEETENERS IF I NEED TO, BUT I HONESTLY DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE IS BEST. WE USE CRYSTAL LIGHT FOR JUICE. REMEMBER - REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER OR DISTILLED WITH ADDED MINERALS (YOU NEED ADDED MINERALS IN DISTILLED WATER OR IT WILL PULL MINERALS OUT OF YOUR CHILD). REGULAR DISTILLED WATER IS NOT FOR DRINKING. - Stan

Guest guest
We use lots of the CellFood by Lumina Health for our son, Google and Froogle it, should be able to get under $20 or right at $20, one little bottle lasts a long time. I use the cheaper and less effective Water Oz Water of Life minerals, 4X strength, for me because this stuff is all so expensive and I can economize a little that way. I don't suggest the Water Oz for children that are reactive/allergic, somehow it has a little something in it my son cannot tolerate but I get great results on it for myself (www.wateroz.com).When we added minerals, we had to start slow and work up, especially with CellFood. There is a little bit of a working it all out tiredness and recalibration of the body with CellFood, but it is worth it to push on through. I started on CellFood twice, the second time worked through the tired grumpiness as my body cleaned out and adjusted into a higher energy, better feeling all over mode, then switched over to the other minerals. My son had the same experience but uses between 12 and 20 drops a day now without any problem. He is thriving on it. It HAS to BE DILUTED! It has enzymes in it, too, and can sting if you get it on you undiluted! If I have reverse osmosis water is there a mineral someone can recommend that I add to the water?
