Guest guest
Hi everyone. I had low bone density a couple years ago. In light of my upcoming fusion surgery in May, I wanted to make sure it didn't get worse. Well, it did. I have Osteoporosis in my lumbar spine. The Rheumatologist I saw put me on Actonel. But, after consulting with Dr. Bolognese who consulted with Dr. Chan, I was started on Forteo injections for the next 18 months to increase my bone density and strength. After that, we'll do another Dexa Scan and see if I still need Actonel. Surgery is still scheduled as planned. So, to all you who have Osteo, you may still be able to have surgery if you need it. Forteo isn't cheap, but it is covered with preauthorization from Blue Cross. Well, high pressure system is here and I feel like crap. Sorry. Hope you all are well, TCS/Detethered 11/06 @ TCI, CCI (surgery pending), Osteoporosis, Scoliosis, Tachycardia
