Guest guest
hi everyone, talking of insurance i think also that they have the control over the drs and it is affecting healthcare patients receive. i think many people have lost thier lives because of it. this would include my daughter jennifer, as i think tests or faster evaluation and further care werent done that should have been done because it would cost money and the facility had thier rules to follow or (criteria) to meet before the drs can do more to help. i have also found that the department of health for calif. covers hospital errors because they are protected by law and i wont ever know the errors that took place with my daugher. i was told this by the department. it is thier responsibility to find the error and see that it is fixed. drs have spent yrs in school and most know what needs to be done, they didnt become a dr to not work as one, and maybe they didnt even began to know how their work as a dr would be affected by the control of the insurance co. lot of them join a facility, because it is benifical to them with malpractice costs or all the office work involved. the facility, that tels them what to do, when, how long to wait to do something or what tests to run and when. i have found this to be true, because i have fought for things to get done that i was told wasnt allowed, but wrote letters or persued what i wanted and got it. i was told directely by my insuranace person, who i always have to go through and have losts confllicts with, that i was handling it right, meaning all my calls and letters is the way i had to do things to get help at times i normally would not have gotten it. about two yrs ago i would have lost my other daughter to an eating disorder if i hadnt persued every avenue i could think of. i am normally a shy person, and i cant believe i could do what ive done, but then i didnt know till i lost my daughter because of it. thanks, joyce
