This presentation will cover writing and measuring appropriate IEP goals for school children. The presenter

will discuss how to choose appropriate goals that reflect a child's current skill level, measure & define goals using

appropriate data collection systems to track progress, include criteria for mastery of goals, and collaborate

with school staff so that all team members target goals in the same way. The presentation will include

handouts with examples of well-written IEP goals and goals that need corrections. If time permits, the

presenter will also discuss how to approach ARD meetings and/or parent-teacher meetings so that goals

are written into education plans to keep team members on the same page.
