They said their goal was to do something special for the child... like a computer or a bicycle or a trip to Disney World or a big swingset. Not a trip to a medical convention. Good luck fun raising though. Kim
Guest guest
, I know I've thought of it myself. I thought I remember one family in the PMG group having Make A Wish pay for them to go to Disney World. Good luck, Let me know how it goes because I'm interested myself. Guest guest
I just thought I would put in my two cents on this! Several years ago Lenny and I priced the Disney cruise. For a family of 5 ( was 6 months old at the time and I would bring all of her food) it would cost almost $5,000! Since then we have been to Disney twice for under $3,000. We are going to wait until is much older and pursue Make a Wish for the Disney Cruise because we know it will truly be a once in a lifetime trip (unless we hit lotto LOL)! , mother to Elissa 5 1/2, LJ 4 1/2, 5 months & almost 3 - PMG or Pachygyria, mild CP, hypotonia, hypertonia, microcephaly, no seizures, walks, talks - 150 words and counting! Now putting together sentences of 3-4 words. Wife of Lenny - FDNY Make a Wish > > > > Do any of the PMG kids qualify for Make a Wish? Guest guest
Hi My daughter got to make a wish and we went to disney world when she was about 10 I think....how I got ahold of the foundation was I called information asked for the-make-a wish-foundation and then called their main number then they got ahold of the lady in our town...and she took care of everything...they have to get some kind of note from the doctor and I can't remember how it all worked....But it was not hard at all.....It was great I think from the time I called it was only a few weeks and we were on our way.....we stayed at the make-a-wish village I don't know if that's what its called but it a gated community and the rooms were like a house ours had 2bedrooms... a living room... a kitchen stocked w/food.... a huge bathroom with a jetted bathtub...washer/dryer....everything..they even foot the bill if your child needs to see the doctor while there...mine did.....they supply...spending money....a car...everything....they even had people meet us at the airport.....the only bad thing about the whole trip was not enough time to relax we were on the go from morn till morn. oh yea you also get to go to the front of the lines at the amusment parks LaDawn mom to 16yrs pachygyria & partial complex seizures _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

I brought a note from the DR and was never even once asked for it at any office. Great people there. ) They give you a pass that lets you go thru the handicapped entrance right to the front of the line. The most we had to wait was MAYBE 5 minutes. We even got to meet the characters at Toon Town by going in the back door. And I think the characters were giving extra good hugs to the kids too. ) Lenny
Guest guest
Wow how did you manage to do 5 people under $3,000. I went for 10 days with 5 people and it cost $5000 and that was with a free condo for most of the time (timeshare trade from my grandparents). That was 6 years ago. It's made me afraid to go back now that I have the twins. Kim Re: Make a Wish > I just thought I would put in my two cents on this! Several years ago Lenny > and I priced the Disney cruise. Guest guest
Ladawn - I'd love to do the disney trip or cruise. I'm waiting for Crystal to get older before we request it. I'm pretty sure we'll qualify for a trip. Since we're not doing very well financially ( only Harv works ), we have never been on vacation. It would be so wonderful to take a family trip, while the kids are all still living at home. I hope that all is going well over there... Give the kids a great big {{{ HUG }}} for us... With lotsa luv to you all... & her interesting bunch
