My son developed PANDAS after a strep infection. He was given Paxil

and became activated(giddy and silly in our case). This later turned

to irritability and ultimately suicidal ideation and psychosis.

This doesn't happen to everyone, but every parent should be familiar

with the symptoms- as the drs 1)aren't with them - to notice the

slight changes, and 2)many don't know what to look for.

Be especially careful if there is any family hx of mood disorders,

drug abuse, or alcoholism.
