Hi Amy

Stop worrying...this is nothing you can control at this point, so take a

deep breath and tell

yourself what will be will be and you will deal with the situation as best

you know and however you need to. I know it's easy for me to say, but I've

been in your situation (not knowing I had a neuro condition at the time

though), and worrying is just going to make the situation worse. The

resulting worrying did end in a pregnancy and although I was sure I had

" hurt " the fetus by ingesting things while I was unknowingly pregnant, the

baby is now a healthy and happy twenty year old that I love dearly (my

oldest daughter.)

Take an in-home pregnancy test and if it's positive, go to your gyn asap to

talk about your options and what you've been taking and not taking. You'd

be surprised what really doesn't cause birth defects. My husband just

watched a show the other night that discussed how extra folic acid really

doesn't affect the birth rate of neural tube defects (I'm sure this will be

a large topic of controversy though.) The doctors I go to say lipo is not a

hereditary condition...it's a freak condition that occurs in one in so many

babies and nothing I did during or before my pregnancies could have

prevented it from occurring in any of my children, and nothing my mother

did

could have prevented it from occurring in me.

Please let us know if you need our support through any of this...we'll all

be here for you no matter what.

Kathy
