Guest guest
Hi everyone, I usually have two 1-gallon jars of KT going, but I had way too much, so I'm cutting back to one for a little while. Anyway, I have two nice fat scoby's that I use. Now that I only need one, can I just put both in the same jar, so that the extra won't go bad? Will this make the brew extra tart? I plan on using the second one again in a few months for its own 1-gallon jar, but not now. Thanks in advance for your advice. My KT never forms a new scoby.......it just seems to make the existing one bigger/thicker. So I've been brewing with the same two scobys for a few months, with no more being formed. Is this weird?
