Guest guest
Homeopathy carries the same risks and potential for benefit as any other treatment. It can be gentle, but some deep acting remedies are systemic and pretty strong. My son had great results from a few general remedies, then horrid results with one remedy that took over 2 years to recover from. The homeopath that worked with us after the damage was done said that Mike should not have been given that particular remedy until his gut was fully healed. The moral of the story, I guess, is work with someone who understands that kids have to be built up before challenging them with something they might not be able to handle. More importantly, have the homeopath tell you how to antidote a remedy if you need to. Homeopathy can be awesome, but go into it with your eyers open.SHARON SMITH wrote: im filling out the paperwork to start homeopathy treatment for my 2 yr old son with asd. he is rather mild and we are really anxious about staring anything that may bring negative results that last. we are starting with homeopathy because we feel it is a gentle approach. i went to the homeopathy board and asked for stories of recovery or bad side effects from using homeopathy and no response at all. now im nervous! has anyone tried homeopathy and would you please share your story of success or failure. we really just want the good, bad, and ugly, so we know what we are getting ourselves into. thanks, sharon
Guest guest
I have, but much like everyone else they are only human, they are like a GP some get it some dont. The one I saw did not and infact made things worse. He gave me a few drugs to take home, all natural, and slowly raised the dose over 6 weeks, at this stage I was also getting acupuncture once or twice to help with stress, the tablets made my 4s unstable, and since then it has been ups and downs. I plan to go see another one in Queensland Australia when I move up there next year, who is ment to be very good and will let the board know what happens. I have watched these posts for the last couple years. I have not seen (or maybe I missed) any discussion regarding homeopathy. I did ask once before if anyone had used and recieved a single reply that " I used homeopathy somewhat & will comment more later. " I am not referring to just the use of self-prescribed homeopathic medicine or of that prescribed by a medical or alternative doctor. My question is: Has anyone gone to anyone practicing exclusively as a " Classical Homeopath " and gone thru the complete evaluations and follow-ups in seeking a remedy? Guest guest
I believe there was a discussion on this a while back. Try searching the messages for old posts. I have been in this group since it was formed and there were less than 10 of us then. I have pretty much read all the posts to some degree (always skimming for something new that might help). I have noticed the same questions pop up over and over as different people find the group. I'm not sure if people realize that they can search old postings for info. Believe me, there is so much valuable info on this site! Researchers could find out so much!!! All the same stories, all the same onsets, all the same dealing with it! Such valuable data. Hopefully the NIH will come through with their research!!
