Guest guest
My son Nick has been on Valtrex since last Sunday. He gets 250mg in am and 250mg in pm. We have seen some positives since starting...writes the letter k in his name perfect now, at home he really seems more " with it " . However, this week his sound sensitivity seems to have increased. Whenever he hears a dog bark now he instantly covers his ears. He used to do this in the past, but it had gotten much better. And he has also been wanting me to carry him to the bus stop in the morning , he won't walk in the snow. This is strange because last winter he loved playing in the snow and sledding. But now when I ask him if he wants to go play in the snow he says " Um, no thanks " . His teacher also said he hasn't been going to gym class all week, he refuses to go. And he would't go outside for recess. I think he won't go in the gym because the sound echos in there, and I am pretty sure he wouldn't go outside at recess because of the snow. Yesterday his teacher said he wouldn't do his work in class. Are these normal responses to starting Valtrex? Are others seeing this same type of regression along with positives? Thanks,
