We had the same reaction from zoloft.

went from celexa to zoloft in August.

For the first month or two, some slight increase in hyperactivity

but nothing we couldn't handle. Great attention.

Then we started seeing an increase in anxiety. Going to the toilet

and flushing was an issue. We had a difficult time redirecting

him from let's say an inappropriate behavioral moment.

He appeared to be agitated. A few weeks ago, it was decided to place

him back on celexa until the next telephone consult (which by the way

costs

us $165 / 20 minutes and insurance won't reimburse us).

The difference was overnight. was calmer, more in control.

And we stopped hearing 'I am NOT happy'.

We'll be discussing this more in depth with Dr G in Dec (along with the

CMV

issue)

land

PS Thanks for the note on the Suites, . I'm always so stressed

when I travel -

I have never spoken to the manager. I wonder if they would appreciate a

write up

in the Network ?

Hyperactivity with SSRI

My son started Zoloft about two weeks ago. The first week I was

seeing and hearing new and very good things from him. Now after

being on it for 2 weeks he has become hyper and sensory starved

(wanting/seeking constant imput). Should I see this as a bad sign

that the SSRI is not a good fit for him?
