Winter enrollment at CP Center for adults with developmental disabilities

Center for Possibilities in now enrolling adults with developmental disabilities! Waiver funding not needed to enroll! Center for Possibilities located at Cerebral Palsy of NWI, Inc, offers an Adult Learning Center for adults 22 and older with moderate to severe developmental disabilities. The Center provides a full day, full year program with a strong focus on the development of self-care skills and learning opportunities. The Center’s mission is to improve the quality of life for adults with developmental disabilities and their families. I Can Still Learn Program-This program emphasizes our belief that no matter what a person’s age or ability, they can still learn. In the program, trained volunteers work one-on-one with students as they learn math, spelling, reading, spelling and writing at their own pace and learning style. Taking Care of Me Program- This program focuses on learning how to take care of oneself through self-help skills. Students learn how

to make a bed, vacuum, dust and do laundry. They also learn basic hygiene skills and safety rules. A Certified Nurses Assistant provides all personal care for students who need assistance. I Am Important Too Program- In this program, students participate in social skills groups and learn important skills such as conflict resolution, boundaries and problem solving. Student set goals each year that contribute to the ongoing development of their self-esteem. Let’s Move Program- The Let’s Move program reinforce the importance of physical activity in our lives in order to stay strong and health. Student enjoy daily exercise, dancing, sports and movement. How Does a Garden Grow Program- This program provides an opportunity for students to grow their

own vegetable, plants and flowers. A wheelchair accessible garden planter is used so that all students can participate in this exciting, self-esteem boasting program. Healthy Café Program- The Healthy Café Program provides a delicious and nutritious hot lunch for students enrolled in the Center and also teaches the students basic cooking skills. The Healthy Café Program is designed to give students energy and nutrients while also teaching students how to safely prepare meals. To Enroll- Limited spots are now available. Potential students and their family members are invited to tour the Center and meet our mature, dedicated and experienced staff. A $5.00 per day tuition fee includes 5 hours of services, hot lunch and personal care if needed. To arrange a tour, contact
