Has his pack & frame still working, and holding together? I assume this has been covered,but I haven't been able to find anything on or about his gear... I have actually gone through several pair and have settled on New Balance. The are the most confortable and have caused the least complications. The Foot EFX supports are great. Second - The pack is a Kelty 5800cc. This is my third one because they just get abused. THis one is just now developing a crack and I purchased a smaller replacement in Albuquerque, not using it yet. Additional gear - Columbia shirt - 45 spf Smartwool sox - MSR tent - Walmart bed roll - Best that I have had. I was surprised.
