I hope you saw my reply to Haven. It's important also to make sure the mix is very liquid at first. You'll need more syringes to do it this way but it's hard to barf up a teaspoon of water. Holding him in your arms with his head tilted towards the floor also helps. I also shot it between his cheek and tongue towards the back and gave him whatever he wanted to drink when we finished all the syringes even if they didn't all stay down. Wear old clothes this stuff may stain. We did this my husband and I three times a day without fail. It literally took two weeks for my son to be more compliant and he kicked, screamed, bit, hit, punched anything to get away. I explained to him why we were doing it even though I didn't really think he cared. (he did) This was so difficult but putting it in the food was not working. I have a kid who when I took his milk away refused to drink anything and we nearly ended up in the hospital dehydrated. So he is very willful.

You can do this but you have to be strong and you'll need support from your family because it will look to anyone else like your an awful person for making him so miserable. I often wonder if I could have transitioned him to pills sooner if I had said " You can have this syringe or these pills...choose. " We started with a tiny little pill cut in half and I put it way back in his mouth and he drank right away but it took some recovery to even be able to touch his mouth this protocol has had a big positive effect on his sensory system which has improved his life on many fronts. Let me know if I can help you...never give up.

I love how you organize and color code the syringes but how did you get Matt to even accept those??? One of my guys has a huge gag reflex so getting him to swallow the concoction would have been impossible. How did you eventually teach Matt to swallow pills?

I live in the Katy area (near Houston) and really need a real live therapist to come and physically teach my kids to swallow pills! We have tried and tried to no avail. Anyone out there brave enough?? Swallowing Pills

Hello everyone!

I just got the final version of the instructional video I did for Neurbiologix. I thought you might enjoy seeing it and seeing me and Matt in full living color. I hope this video is helpful but so much more was cut. Please let me know what you think of the video and if you have any questions about how I go the oral syringes down the first time. He was not standing and coming willingly beleive me. Matt now swallows pills several at a time actually and this started about the same time we got him to start eating real food which is a whole other video. Best of luck to everyone.

Here's how to do it. Take a pill or whatever, and take a tiny amount

from it, and have them swallow it. Do this twice a day. Increase the

tiny amount every day, per what they are willing to swallow.

Eventually, they will be swallowing the biggest pills you can buy. This

seems to take a while at first, but I think most will get results in a

few days, and most will get good results within a few weeks. The key is

to start out giving them what they are willing to swallow, even if its

just a spec of dust in size, and work your way up gradually, what they

are willing to do. Mine were fearful of swallowing, so this is why they

have to be willing, and the size has to be small at first. After a few

months, mine were swallowing pills very quickly. But, they did slowly

swallow their pills for a while after they learned how. So, once they

learn how, then there is the waiting for them to learn how to do it

quickly. It takes repetition.

Love and prayers,
