Guest guest
I'm cleaning my closet, and came across something quite odd. I'd known my definition of socialization was a little off. I remember being 14 and thinking that merely being around people and thinking about them counted as socialization. (I still think that sometimes if I don't watch it.) But there was a time in 1997 when a particularly annoying day program staff decided that I needed to write a diary, and write whatever I wanted, except that each day I needed to write " how I socialized " . (She would then buy me dinner if I did it for a week.) I appear to have counted any time I left the house as socialization, whether I interacted with anyone or not. I also do not appear to have considered much of anything that happened *inside* the house to be socialization, whether I interacted with anyone or not. -- " I can tell when my lover has been around the cat too long when she begins scratching me behind the ears.
