Guest guest
Hi Kim If you have a store that sell beer and wine making supplies most carry bottles. Here in Phoenix you can get 750 ml wine bottles for about $14 per dozen plus .25 for plastic caps, 1/2 litter bale top bottles are about $25 and 1 liter run about $34. I also found plastic caps for the 16oz GT bottles.for .50 Bill At 07:32 PM 6/5/2006 Monday, you wrote: >Okay, so I'm successfully brewing my KT in a one gallon pickle jar (pickles >removed of course). I usually use the bail-top bottles, but since those are beer bottles, I need to use the GTs bottles on the road sometimes. It would be a relief to have caps. The metal lids are coated on the inside at first but after a few uses the coating wears away and metal is exposed. --V ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J. Guest guest
Morning V They are a standard cap to fit 1 gallon jugs. They have a tapered plastic insert that seals the bottle. I've found that I must leave a small air space to get the caps to seal squarely other wise they cock a bit. I'll check and see if they have a technical name and pass it on later.
