Guest guest
Thank you and Dr. for the compliments. I do appreciate it very much. I've received nice compliments on my writing before. I do find I can communicate and express my feelings with others better through writing than talking. Plus, I have a hard time with voices because of 4S and so writing is a better venue for me and less painful. I do have a 6th sense of how to write, but could not prove to you that I know the writing conventions if I were tested. That is part of my problem with trying to get work doing this. I was a writing tutor once, oh my, 14 years ago now. After a few terms of doing that they made a rule that writing tutors had to take a test to prove that they new the writing conventions. Of course I couldn't get a high enough score on the test and lost that job to the dismay of the teachers who thought I was very good at helping other students with their writing. That set me back from pursuing writing as anything more than a hobby. I don't know how to get a job writing that would fit into my life while dealing with 4S and Hyperacusis. It takes a lot of time and investment to write and I don't seem to be able to have that. I am frustrated by this. -Randall
