Guest guest
Hello. What type of yucca product is best given as a toxin binder? Will it work like charcoal, sucking up the toxins and help with die off after a short period of time? Do I avoid giving other supplements during this time? How many capsules can be used during each dosage? Thanks.
Guest guest
Yucca binds to ammonia and helps transiting protein food to the small intestinal. Long term use of yucca can interfere with the absorption of vitamin A, D, and K. I do not feel that yucca is suitable for using as a day-to-day toxin binder. Yasko only recommends using yucca when protein intake is high. Guest guest
I think it just reduces ammonia and is usually given with protein. > > Hello. Guest guest
I'm very late to this discussion, but I have something to add that might be interesting. Yucca is not for long term use (as Limin mentioned) so my local biomed doctor made an imprint of it's energy signature onto a vial of water using a bioset machine. I'm not really sure how the whole thing works - but I ended up with a bottle of homeopathic style yucca " water " at 10x. Been using it for a year or more with no apparent problems. When I stop giving it to my son with protein meals (about 1/2 dropper full) the strong ammonia smell comes back to his urine. His vitamin D levels were low a few months ago, so perhaps it is having some negative impact though. Not sure. It's easy to supplement D over the winter and now that the weather is getting nice, I just have him out in the sun. Not sure of his A and K levels, but he does take a lot of fish oils. If the yucca " water " IS having an impact on his A, D and K absorption, would that be worse than ammonia toxicity? His ammonia levels were very high before getting him on Yucca caps from Yasko. Used them for a couple of months and his ammonia levels dropped - then I stopped the caps and just used the bioset imprinted water to maintain. Not looking to change anything because my son is doing really well at the moment. Just wanted to throw the info out there. > > Yucca binds to ammonia and helps transiting protein food to the small > intestinal.
