Am I doing >something wrong?? It really does appear that diabetics have to make sure that all the sugar is gone out of the KT before drinking. I know there are a lot of diabetics on this list and I hope they will write more about their experiences and practices with KT. It may be that you'll need to brew some KT for your partner separately from your own, since he wants sweeter and you need less sweet. > I have talked with my DR about the blood sugar thing, and he thinks >I am nuts for drinking stuff he has never heard of. He is very >conventional with his medicinal beliefs, and I am not! This is what I say: If the doctor thinks it's ok to drink tea, and that it's okay to eat yogurt, there should be no problem with the idea of KT, as long as the sugar issue is resolved. >I compromise >with taking more insulin to compensate, and for the most part do OK now >that I have it figured out. I agree with others that I don't think this is a good solution. It should be possible to brew the KT sufficiently not to have to resort to this. I know several people who have claimed lowering of blood sugar on this list. I hope they'll speak up. --V ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J.
