Guest guest
Hi List! I found this drink at the grocery store. It's so hard to find something that the kids can actually and will drink. Several of the ingredients bring up red flags though. I thought maybe some of you could help. The ingredients are spring water, citric acid, calcium gluconate and/or Lactate, Natural Flavor, Potassium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Aspartame, acesulfame potassium and ascorbic acid. Can they have something with calcium gluconate in it??? Please help! Shona Jordan
Guest guest
Shona, Is your concern about calcium gluconate about the fact that sugar is used to make it? I don't believe there is any sugar in the final product. If the " nutritional information " indicates no value for sugars, then sugar isn't a problem. Or did you have another concern about it? Donna P.S. - I noticed the list says " Calcium Gluconate AND/OR Lactate " . I wonder about Calcium Lactate! It sounds like it comes from milk...does it? I know some things that are called " lactate " are not necessarily from milk. Aqua Cal Calcium Fortified Spring Water Beverage Hi List! I found this drink at the grocery store. Guest guest
I was worried about the possibility of any milk derivative being in there. I'm still so new to this that everything scares me. Thanks.
