Guest guest
My dear Gauri Shankar Goel, I am seriously worried about you. I left for Mumbai on the 22 nd for my son's admission test. I returned home on the 25 th night. I cannot moderate any mail when I am out of town, for obvious reasons (Well, at least, obvious to all sane people.) Yet, when you found that your mail, sent on the 23rd was not published, you immediately accused me of foul play and partisan ship on the 24th and 25th. Let me make one thing clear. Even if I think that your mails are a lot of political propaganda, even if I feel that you use emails to tell others how great you are (though you accuse me of the same), even if I feel that your emails are a sign of your megalomania, I am most willing to publish them, as long as they do not hurt anybody. Unfortunately, I was not present at my home and hence could not approve your mail as a moderator (though I personally disapprove of them). I know that you will say then how come other mails appeared when I was absent. The simple reason is as follows: The MGIMS egroup is divided into two groups. One group consists of senders whose mail can be trusted not to hurt anybody. These senders are not moderated. So you will see Sadbose, Sunil Nivargi, Charusmita, Ashok Bhaskar, Ravin Das and some others appearing instantaneously in the mail boxes. I trust these people not to hurt people, so I do not moderate their mail. By default, all others have to be moderated by me, not because they send bad mail, but because I do not know what mail they might send. You have proven umpteen times previously that your mail can degenerate into cheap name calling. You think that by denigrating somebody, you can prove that you are great. By calling NRIs unpatriotic, you can prove that you are a great lover of the motherland. Hence, your mail will always be moderated. So if you feel that your mail was censored because I am against you, you are wrong. I am not against you, I am against your bad habit of starting fights in our otherwise placid group. So, if you want your mail to be published, please behave yourself and stop sending obnoxious mails. (By the way, your mail was not censored, only delayed. But so was Shiny's, Manish Kothari's, Prabha Desikan's, Munish's and even Harinath Sir's mail. They have not accused me of anything. By the way, notice the paradox: Sir is on the moderated list while Ashok is unmoderated. That happened because I was too lazy to correct the settings.) For the information of other readers I need to mention that all censored mail is sent to the authorities concerned. I never take any unilateral decision, as Gauri seems to be implying. Till date, only five mails have been censored. Coming back to my first sentence: Dear Gauri, I am seriously worried about you. Why don't you consult Bedi, Amulya or Duggal (the psychiatrist trio)? Kishore Shah 1974 (Moderator) PS: Readers who are used to my humour must have been shocked by my angry outburst. But this guy really gets my hackles up with his unjust accusations. His mail has even prompted Ashok, who was sent a mail by Gauri, to ask why I censored Goel. This has hurt me more than Goel's stupid accusation.
