Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just recently got diagnosed with Chiari malformation after two years of numerous symptoms. The most obvious symptom was a complete loss of gag reflex and a depressed throat arch on the right side (Cranial Nerve 9 palsy.) I went to a neurologist who found the Chiari and has currently ordered additional MRIs. I went to a neurosurgeon for a second opinion who measured the chiari at 5mm but didn't think it was causing any symptoms. I'm confused. I don't feel comfortable waiting for more cranial nerves to palsy before I act. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
