Guest guest
Thank you EVERYONE that replied to my post!! I will talk to my son's Doctor about changing or stopping some of the medicines to see if it helps. The reason they prescribed the Abilify is because he was " seeing and hearing things " that weren't there at times. That stopped after the Abilify but to tell you the truth, I think I'd rather deal with that than the aggression. He scares me sometimes. However, I hate for him to have the visual and auditory hallucinations... Does anyone have children with Autism that see/hear things that don't exist? :-) DIANE > > My name is Diane, I'm 52 and have a 16 year old son diagnosed with > PDD. Guest guest
Hi Diane, all 3 of my autistic children have seen things or heard things no one else does. It seems to come and go. Our Dr.s say, after testing it's caused from sensory dysfunction and not mental illness.
