The information, much of which we are aware, is put together in the most excellent and intelligent way, that Stan Monteith is still alive is truly amazing. It does show us exactly why they would want to eliminate all alternative and natural medicine, perhaps especially homeopathy, as this is very effective in reversing unusual symptomology. As for Glucosamine, it is highly unlikely that this has suddenly caused such fast destruction of the liver, more likely to be something quite different, but doubtless we will never know what other intake these patients have in common - Glucosamine and Chitosan both have the capacity to affect those who have shellfish allergies, Chondroitin possibly too. But allergic responses do not usually manifest in this way. Is it possible that these products were contaminated? If so you would think that there would be a more widespread outbreak of death through liver damage wouldn't you? Ian on the plains - what is your comment? Can't go on guesswork and get anywhere. Now, on the other hand, we should keep in mind how many people are killed by prescription drugs and still allowed to be sold. These have known side effects and many deaths. I don't see that doctor or any of his ilk getting concerned. So, in lieu of the doctor's blindness, we first to need to compare the death rate of glucosamine to prescription drugs. Next, this needs to be followed to find out what caused the patient's death, other than speculation. Their usual is, if anyone dies, they immediately ask if they took anything alternative and if so, that has to be the reason for death, ignoring all other things. Disgusting!
