Guest guest
Hi !!!! It is so great to hear from you. I'm glad no one is giving up on you, but mostly glad you haven't given up. You keep going girl...with your determination you will see some gains. Did you have another surgery, or are you referring to the first one you had last year (or was it this year?) I'm okay...still hanging in there at least. Things got worse (again) after my last surgery in January. I was thinking about going to Miami for a repeat untethering, but after listing the pros and cons, I decided (and my physiatrist) that the way this nsg is doing the surgery is still in the early stages and I'm in no shape to be a guinea pig. However, my nsg did call me last week and when I told him what was going on (the decline...where, what, etc) he said I shouldn't wait more than three-four months to get into the operating room again. Ugh...I don't think I'm going to follow his advice though. Three untetherings in five years is enough for me right now (plus a major CSF leak repair.) I'd like to wait and keep track of where the pain is, what sets it off, where the decline is, if it's getting worse, etc. before jumping into it again. Christmas is almost here (ikes!) and I've been very busy shopping on the Internet and through catalogs. I did end up at the mall a few times, but with list in hand, I was in and out in a couple of hours. It's been much easier on me this year with shopping through mail. What else is new with you? Are you working from home still? What rehab are you doing??? It's really so good to hear from you....a great Christmas present!
