Guest guest Posted March 6, 1999 Report Share Posted March 6, 1999 Hi, I am the Director of Rehab in a rural hospital in West Virginia and I have a few questions that I have been trying to answer and can't so I thought I would try here. I have thoroughly enjoyed the posts and I have learned a lot. We are trying to add another PT to our Outpatient area. Does anyone have any data as to how many outpatients a typical Oupt PT should see in a day?? Next we are looking at adding this PT and changing the current staff (OTs and PTs) to a performance base contract. Example a base rate of $40K and then $6 for every visit they see that month with a $300 bonus if they average 3.5 proc/visit or higher for that month. Example if they see 15 per day for 20 days and made the bonus they would make $5400 gross that month. Question: Is anyone out there doing such a contract? Does it seem fair to the therapists??
