Guest guest
Hi My 12 year old Aspie son has some really swollen gums in areas of his mouth. At first I thought mayb we needed to step up the brushing/flossing. So, I took over and I brush his teeth and gums gently 3 times a day and floss once a day. His gums are a bit better but still swollen. He does have some crowding in the areas that are swollen. But the swelling is painful for him. Does anybody have any ideas of anything else to do for him. Could he be lacking a supplement? or allergic something? Part of the area thats really swollen is by the eye teeth and unfortunately he has " fangs " So I wonder if that part is swollen because the teeth emerged too close to the top? Well any ideas to help would be great. We tried natural tooth paste, salt water, taking extra vit c, even invested in a sonicare tooth brush. I am thniking about getting a water pik but really cant afford it if it wouldnt help. Any ideas would be great, He really is uncomfortable. Thanks Allie
