Guest guest
I started drinking KT because I was having chemotherapy following breast cancer surgery and my SIL said the detoxing effects were going to be good for me. I dealt well with the chemotherapy and recovered from it quite quickly. I carried on drinking it through radiotherapy and the hospital staff were amazed that my skin didn't burn and that I was much less tired than they expected me to be from the treatments. The skin not burning was probably a combination of topical application of lavender oil and drinking KT. I drink at least 3 x 150 mls per day, some days when i was having treatments I would drink as much as a litre a day. These days I am back on 3 or 4 x 150 mls a day, depending how I feel. I am 3 months out from treatments, and still have more energy than anybody else I know who has had similar treatments. Guest guest
I started drinking KT because I was sick! I have RA, early diabetes, chronic bronchitis, chronic uti, elevated liver function. Plus some other stuff. Today I got blood results back: liver is normal, urine is normal, blood sugar is normal! That hasn't happened for 5 months (longer for the liver)! I think I've been drinking KT almost 2 months (I'm lousy with time). I feel great, I'm moving better than my rheumotoid arthritis has allowed in years, breathing well, and have more energy (much improved from laying in bed most of the day). Of course, I continue to eat healthy and drink lots of filtered water, and bathe in filtered water also (no icky chlorine!) I only take meds for my RA. So, life is good. Now if I could just figure out a good way to make money with my computer at home.....deb > > Hi all you veteran KT drinkers, I would Love to hear from you about > why you started drinking KT was it to address some health issue. > > Also what kind of health benefits have you noticed since drinking KT > on a regular basis. Guest guest
Jo - I think I was just so sick that I didn't have anywhere to go but better! I just use black tea bags and maybe one or 2 green tea bags in the brew. I drink about 24 ounces (3 cups) of KT per day and probably 10 - 12 cups purified water per day. sometimes I drink iced green tea (1 or 2 cups in place of water). I stilll have pain and stiffness of RA but not as bad as before. I don't take a DMARD anymore, I think that's what got me into trouble with my liver before. My rheumy wants to put me on a low dose of antibiotic therapy for RA but I am worried that it will conflict with the KT. Any thoughts on that? I hope you feel less pain soon and yes, I will let you know if I figure out a way to get rich from my computer chair! -- Deb > > > > I started drinking KT because I was sick! Guest guest
Deb if you take COLLOIDAL SILVER [natural antibiotic] this will not interfere with the KT or any meds and it will help with detoxing your liver. what's DMARD ? I also use black & green tea with jasmine plus a couple of fruit t bags, but also use redbush sometimes pu-erh Jo > > Jo - I think I was just so sick that I didn't have anywhere to go > but better! The suggestion of colloidal silver is definitely worth exploring I think, but Bev recently posted what I consider to be the definitive word on antibiotics and KT, which is, as long as it is ok to take the antibiotic with acidic foods , it is fine to continue KT. Apparently, they caution against grapefruit juice if there is a problem with acidic foods. --V ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J. Guest guest
Thanks, Jo -- I will look into colloidal silver. I've heard some other good things about it. DMARD is a disease modifying anti-rheumatic drug to prevent severe and permanent damage to joints, bones, and organs for people with rheumatoid arthritis, which is an auto-immune disease (not to be confused with osteoarthritis, the wear & tear joint disease). deb > > > > Jo - I think I was just so sick that I didn't have anywhere to go > > but better! Guest guest
There are other things that help detoxing the liver. Colloidal silver has many risks, not worth it as far as I am concerned. maria.
