Guest guest Posted July 8, 2010 Report Share Posted July 8, 2010 Website Update Notice DADS has issued the following Provider Alerts or Bulletins: Final Reminder — Partnership for Progress: 2010 Medicaid 1915© Waiver Conference The Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services presents A Conference for Waiver Service Providers and Contractors Serving Persons with Physical, Intellectual, or Developmental Disabilities July 19-22, 2010 Renaissance Hotel at the Arboretum Austin, Texas Seats are still available for the conference, but time is running out for registering to attend. On Friday, July 9, 2010 at 5:00 PM the registration website closes and will not accept any more requests. After the site closes, the next opportunity to register will be on July 19, 2010 onsite at the hotel. To complete your registration online, view the brochure to select the sessions you would like to attend. Seating in each session is based on the number of reservations received for that session. Effective June 16, 2010 a total of 10.5 nursing contact hours were approved through the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Also available are contact/clock hours for social workers, licensed psychological associates, licensed psychologists, licensed professional counselors, assisted living facility (ALF) managers and licensed home health agency (HCSSA) managers. Lodging is available at the Marriott TownePlace Suites, located a half mile from the conference at a rate of $115 per night. You can book a room by calling . Or, you can select other lodging appropriate to your budget needs. This conference will focus on topics of interest for the CBA-ICM, CLASS, CWP, CDSA, DBMD, HCS, MDCP and TxHmL waiver programs and services. There will be a series of sessions on the topics of disaster management, serving consumers with challenging behaviors, medication management, supporting individuals to live in community settings, and utilization review.
