Ago. The docto's in Italy said it was my body's reaction to being under anesthesia and the doctor's here just don't seem to really know, period, how to treat it. I know of only one other person who has ever had this happen and their's was almost 7 years ago...they too had no history skin problems (I did not either) and they went in for surgery under general anesthesia and woke up in recovery with a small red area on their body...he was in his early 40's at the time with no history of any skin problems, same as me.. now he too has noticed it is starting to spread. My sister say's his looks just like my rash...it is not exzema or psoriasis, and not a fungus though it acts somewhat like it is at times with the spreading, they have determined it is not. They decided to treat me with Lamisil almost three years ago thinking that it might help since it ACTED like it was a fungus in that way, though the tests said it was not...that was when I has the first allergic reaction that sent me to the ER, then they gave me Atarax to help the allergic reaction and THAT sent me into respiratory distress a day later. My body has begun to develop allergies to meds and the skin rash is spreading and the doctor's seem stumped about it. I won't let them try anything else. The rash is now on my neck after all of these years and on my torso in different areas. Sometimes it itches and sometimes it does not...sometimes it is easy to see the red splotches and at other times it is not...and the skin texture is not the same in those areas as the other areas of my skin. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.. it is maddening and embarrassing. A chiropractor friend of my Mom shocked me in this past week, after looking at my skin. He asked me what traumatic event or stress was I under at that time and I about fell out...LOL..I woke up in the middle of surgery and was horrified and even though they put me back under, to this day I refuse to be put to sleep for any surgery (yes I have had one more since then and they gave me a spinal) for fear of waking up in the middle of surgery again and the doctor NOT realizing it. They DID realize it the first time, I woke up as they were putting the clamps in to close my c-section and I felt three of them inserted before they realized I was awake...it was horrific. There are NO WORDS to adequately describe this. But, can an emotional trauma that lasts two to three minutes change your skin for almost 19 years? IT is something to consider, since nothing else is making sense and I had no rash before the surgery and no history of any skin disorders prior to that day...thank you Ann, for the link you sent me privately...I will check it out. Thanks!~Gloria in Tennessee " Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family: Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one. Guest guest
Hi Gloria and EveryOne, It is entirely possible that taking Kombucha tea internally and putting it (after waiting for it to turn to vinegar (about 17 days) on your skin daily will stop the rash from spreading and even reverse it. As long as it doesn't sting or burn when you apply a bit of it to the rash it should be safe to use and may work wonders. Kombucha vinegar and Kombucha Colonies were applied to burns and promote healing as well as making excellent bandages...... Please let us know if you try Kombucha for your rash. We learn from each other:-)) Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev -- In original_kombucha , " The Suttons " wrote: > > Marge wrote: > ***Were you checked for shingles?*** > > Not shingles...this is not that kind of a skin patch and I woke up from > surgery with it almost 19 yrs.
