Fortunately, it's always possible to start a new one. The last one I finished, I decided to try " string joints " instead of the usual disc/cotterpin (or disk/screw/nut) joints, partly in order to prove to myself that I'd still be able to make bears if I weren't able to buy joints for some reason. The bear turned out really well and accompanied me to the one-hour vigil that is held every Sunday in my area by anti-war (anti-Iraq-invasion) folks. The meeting point for the vigilers is a particular tree by Green Lake. It's nice to rally 'round a tree. There were a number of nice dogs at the vigil, too. Are you going to post any of your new pictures on the web, Sparrow? I'd like to see them, since I'm fond of trees and interested in rats. I talked briefly about rats with the man from whom I buy cat litter. He is a rat enthusiast. Jane
