Munnabhai MBBS

I saw the recently released movie " Munnabhai MBBS " , and believe me, it

was a laugh riot from start to end. It is an excellent parody about

the Medical entrance and education system in India.

The story is about a local Don, Sanjay Dutt, who wants to become a

doctor to impress his parents / girl friend. There was a time when I

used to hate this actor with dopey looks. But with time he has matured

and now delivers sterling performances consistently. According to me,

he is the ugliest actor around, yet his acting is just superb. (Also

see his Vastav for blood chilling down to earth performance.)

Arbaz Khan, as Circuit, the right hand man of the don has acted very

well. The most hilarious act, however, has been put up by Boman Irani,

acting as Dr. Asthana, the Dean of the Medical College and father of

the girl friend. He is member of the Laughter club which advices

people to laugh when angry to reduce their BP. His various encounters

with Sanjay Dutt leave you rolling down the aisle.

If a local theatre is not showing this movie, grab a VCD / DVD, but

just don't miss this one. It is a must see for everyone, but

especially for us medicos. The director surely had a doctor on board

to know such intimate details of our education system. (A friend

informs me that the brother of the producer, Hirani, is an MD

physician in Mumbai.)

Absolutely Kishore,

I laughed quite a bit watching this movie- a pretty good insight into our

medical schooling. All teh actors seemed made fo rtheir roles- particularly

Dr Asthana, circuit and of course Munna bai!!

Dear Kishor,

I fully endorse the views expressed by Sadhana.

I also viewed the film purely on your recommendations and " jaisa suna tha

,vaisa he paya " .

I thank you Kishor for guiding us on such apparently trivial but important

matters. I highly value your opinion and take them er.....without question !

;)

I shall be " boring " you all soon with my travellogue of Kala Pani ,where I

met (Who else ! )Dr. Shah i.e. Dr.Wajid Ali Shah ,Sr .Pathologist at

G.B.Pant hospital ,Port Blair. Dr. Shah made our visit to the island really

memorable.
