Guest guest
Dimethyl Sulfoxide Yes it is true DMSO is a wonderful penterating agent, but maybe it is too good. Sure it will allow agents to pass through the skin when dissolved in DMSO, but it will take everything else with it, like any virus on the surface of your skin. ***************************** we've all been betrayed because it's business not people it's always take and never give that's not the way i want to live *****************************
Guest guest
Not sure about viruses, but it is VERY important to clean your hands and skin before using DMSO, and very important not to allow the DMSO to be contaminated with any chemicals...I don't mess with the stuff myself, but if you do, I would suggest that you be very careful and make sure you know what you're doing. When you ingest things orally they are processed by the liver and kidneys, DMSO is almost like intravenous administration..some things are not meant to be administered this way. Guest guest
Please don't mess with DMSO unless you really feel it is necessary..it was originally developed as an industrial solvent. If you do make sure that it is not veteranary or industrial grade.. More DMSO info.. http://www.racoon.com/herpes/main/dmso.htm Be Safe, Beau
Guest guest
You are correct here. When using DMSO one should first clean the area first with soap and water and then wipe it with alcohol and then rinse rinse rinse the area with warm water. Then apply. Hope this helps, Myrna Dimethyl Sulfoxide Yes it is true DMSO is a wonderful penterating agent, but maybe it is too good. Guest guest
Excellent point Beau! It can be very unstable at times and can get contaminated very easily so it should be used with total caution.
Guest guest
When I lived in Spain they had a pain-relieving spray that was a blend of DMSO and eucalyptus When I returned to the States I was very disappointed to find it was not available here. It was wonderful, I could be in searing pain and my mom would spray it on my back and in minutes I was Up and walking. Awesome stuff. I need to get some now that you've reminded me of it! Peace and Blessings ~*~ Akiba ~*~ Pragmatic Visionary http://yodamamma.blogspot.com/ -- DMSO I do not have time to explain everything about DMSO, if you Google it there are a ton of bites of information about it and what it can do. Amazing stuff but it is most noted for being able to penetrate all the layers of the skin right into internal organs, and carry anything that is on your skin along with it. So if you can't take pills, grind them up, dissolve them in DMSO and they will go straight into whatever part of the body they are for, and skip the stomach and intestines. IT can get right into your blood stream much quicker. In the Autism group I belong to for my son, they use DMSO to give kids medicine, and detoxins to help. By itself, it has been used as a pain killer, and is widly used for horses to help cure sprained ankles. It is also wonderful for arthritis. Mix it with other essential herbs, oils, and it makes a powerful ointment. They say MSM which is another pain killing agent in pill form comes from DMSO. Google it and you will find much more info. It is sold in health food stores mostly. BUT getting it over the internet might be a faster way to obtain it. Vickie egr2lrn_2 wrote: Thank you Vickie for info...I don't know what is DMSO? Guest guest
>Please don't mess with DMSO unless you really feel it is necessary..it was originally developed as an industrial solvent. - Excellent point but the solvent was not deliberate. DMSO was discovered accidentally in a Pulp Mill solvent but the stuff you buy in NOT of that source. BTW, DMSO will give you a nice pungent Garlicky smell. The most significant effect of DMSO other than its through the skin absorbency is the MSM component. For that anti inflammatory effect MSM is a better choice. rusty Re: DMSO Please don't mess with DMSO unless you really feel it is necessary..it was originally developed as an industrial solvent. Guest guest
I would NOT recommend using isopropyl alcohol (wood alcohol) on the skin for any reason, but especially not when it is to be followed by DMSO which would drive any residues into the body. Grain alcohol is fine for the body though, and Dr. recommends Everclear for various antiseptic needs. Dr. believes that wood alcohol (rubbing alcohol, isopropyl) is a tremendous cause of ill health. btw, DMSO is perfectly legal, accepted medicine in over 100 countries. The fact that it is frowned upon by the FDA here appears to be more about economics than medicine. It's a relatively inexpensive, apparently highly effective and useful agent. But as a result of this discussion and my research, I'm looking into MSM supplementation. --V >You are correct here. Guest guest
Thank you AJ, I should have made it more clear to use grain alcohol. You are absolutely right. Have a wonderful Easter, Myrna
Guest guest
>I would NOT recommend using isopropyl alcohol (wood alcohol) on the skin for any reason, but especially not when it is to be followed by DMSO - I second that V. Isopropyl is one the worst carcinogens according to Dr. Hulda : The following 2 paragraphs are clipped from the site linked below: " Foods and products polluted with isopropyl alcohol include shampoo, hair spray and mousse, cold cereals, cosmetics, mouthwash, decaffeinated coffee, vitamins, minerals and supplements, bottled water (polluted with antiseptics from the bottling procedure), rubbing alcohol, white sugar, shaving supplies, carbonated beverages and store-bought fruit juice. Dr recommends home-made products, unprocessed foods and a limited number of tested supplements. Once you stop using isopropyl alcohol it disappears from your body within three days. If the immune system is uncompromised the body will detoxify this; but when the body is overloaded, illness sets in. When isopropyl alcohol is present, the intestinal fluke uses another organ as a secondary host and that organ becomes cancerous. Other solvents in the body produce other diseases. For example, benzene causes the intestinal fluke to use the thymus for its secondary host, ruins the immune system and AIDS develops. Wood alcohol invites pancreatic flukes to use the pancreas as a secondary host and diabetes develops. Dr states that cancer could be completely eliminated if laws required testing for solvents in animal feeds and human foods. A significant reason for isopropyl alcohol pollution is the chemicals used by manufacturers to sterilise food-handling equipment. Guest guest
its is like using salt/vinaiger for intestinal problems. it is just to cheap and good. it would have negative consequences on the live quality of so many people that make a living selling other " solution " . And not being maketable for profit there are were little information on the net on that. we are actually being flooded with information on " marketable stuff " while the el cheapo solution are hard to find and most of times comes from country where the system is different.
