He takes it for Sleeping issues, behavioral issues, and shoulder tics, and I must say it has helped greatly. The only side effect we have seen is increased appetite. He will be getting weened off of it soon. He has been taking it approx. 3 mths, one pill, a few hours before bedtime. I understand how you feel with not wanting to give him meds, I felt the same way. But after trying so many things to get him to sleep, and nothing worked, then we resulted to medication. I wish you the best in this journey.
