Guest guest
Well, one thing for sure that I have learn it is gearing up for the next Legislation session. Definitely having to " agitate " here with: End Insurance Discrimination Now! Several doctors are being reported unanimously throughout Texas because of the biomedical approach even when doc's are providing the conventional medical treatment and billing with the proper code. When some of the health insurance find out that there are individuals with autism being treated, HELLO, denied. This is what is going on throughout Texas not just one city. My son's health insurance through my hubby's employer have actually been pretty good with us for now, have assigned a case manager where she has actually been good getting an ear full. : ) Yes, it is educating and all worth it. There are several of my son's circle of medical professionals who do think out of the box have to be extremely caution on not losing their license. Some parents have seek help for their child and reported to CPS, yes this happens. This is another challenge and HATE this, just very frustrating and ashamed of some of the behind the scenes of what I have heard & witness along this journey. My son's health is deteriorating once again and regression is showing up once again. So I have not been a happy camper lately. Busy with doctor's appointment within the conventional route here so this will stir and trigger me off here when I have enough to tackle where needed. Yesterday was such one of those days once again with that feeling of beginning all over. You are so right Nagla that the neurologist who several of my friends have approached when they brought this up to them in regards to brain inflammation when even given some of the research information IF they are willing to listen with take it or leave it approach will then recommend guess what type of testing? The good old Spinal Tab. Well, just got back from Target with my son who is feeling pretty lethargic but manage to mosey on with me to purchase whatever we felt like throwing in the cart. Then got in our van and he wanted to listen to Lennon's CD and he just gave me a huge smile as we listen to " Imagine " . Last week my son had his RPM therapy at the HALO center and BOY gotta really LOVE Soma, she just amazes me, gives me that HOPE when even while he regress here pushing her, shoving her, etc., she still gets him to answer the lesson she applies at the time and he gets it right. Towards the end he actually begun expressing out loud, this is a person who is non-verbal, always with " NO " word but boy did Soma manage to work with him. Then as we were ready to walk out the door, he reaches over to Soma and to touch her hands, must be his way of thanking her and apologizing. To me sharing this was also venting out and I will not give up even when I am on this rollercoaster mode with dealing with the medical arena. Don't mind me as my mind spins off with such my mode going on. Really appreciate it when y'all share when I know everyone has so much on their plate and manage to find ways to work around where needed. Gets me right back on track. Irma > > Irma, > Most conventional neurologists do not think out of the box and don't know how to test for brain inflamation markers (not even sure they agree that inflamation in the brain exists). > Unfortunately doing biomedical treatment while using medicaid or even insurance doctors is very difficult, almost impossible. > This is why I've done most of the research for my son myself, I only see a DAN doctor when I need lab work done or a prescription for something compounded (I can usually find an alternative over the counter, they work slower but they also cause less side effects for my son.) > > Lee Silsby compounding Pharmacy makes a new product called Enhansa (curcumin that is easily absorbed) > http://www.leesilsby.com/ > Curcumin capsules can also be bought over the counter in any health food store. > This can be an alternative to Spironolactone, or used along with it to help deal with inflamation. > Nagla
